Field Trip Day!

Do you want to help a dog in need, but don't have the ability to take a dog into your home? We would love for you to take a dog on a field trip for a day. Dogs enjoy hiking, going to the beach, exploring the pet store and just hanging out with a person that can show them some love. We do our best to take all of our dogs out for field trips, but it would be even better if you could help. The more people that can help, the more often our dogs get to explore. Commit to one day, or give us a schedule that you can do long term. We can do whatever works for you!

What is the process to start taking dogs on a field trip?

Fill out our foster form and become an approved foster. Make sure you check that box that says "field trips" on the application. Once you are approved we will reach out to you and let you know. We will then start planning your first field trip. You can tell us where you want to go and how long you will be gone. With that information we will determine what dog is best to go with you. If you have a specific dog in mind we will give you suggestions on where to take them. We will provide a leash, collar and harness, which must stay on them for the entire time they are gone. On your first day we will have you bring a photo id with you for us to scan.

Are there specific requirements to be able to take a dog for the day?
